Guidance for sixth-form and further education colleges undertaking a 'due diligence' process following an area review.
This guidance will help colleges understand the ‘due diligence’ process so they can restructure as part of an area review.
Due diligence here refers to organisations looking carefully at each other’s financial, legal and operational information when they are considering a restructure or merger.
The framework will help colleges:
- understand what’s involved in the due diligence process
- understand the areas of their business that the due diligence process covers
- commission suitable due diligence which meets the needs of stakeholders and lenders
The appendices provide more details on the areas covered by due diligence.
