1. Check your licence

It is your responsibility to check your licence documents before going to sea as licences can be changed at any time. The most up to date licences can be accessed on the understand your fishing vessel licence page.

The variations effective from 00:01 hours, Saturday 12th December 2020 are as follows:

1.1 Under 10m Non-Sector Quota Increase

Affecting Licence Cat A (91/99)

  • Cod in sea area VIIa from 0.4 to 0.6 tonne
  • Cod in sea areas VIIb-c, VIIe-k, VIII, IX, X, CECAF 34.1.1¹ from 0.2 to 0.3 tonne (Strictly bycatch only)

1.2 Over 10m Non-Sector Quota Increase

Affecting Licence Cat A 11/99

  • Cod in sea areas VIIb-c, VIIe-k, VIII, IX, X, CECAF 34.1.1¹ from 0.05 to 0.075 tonne (Strictly bycatch only)
  • Sprat in sea areas IIa and IV from 10 to 20 tonnes per week

Affecting Licence Cat A Island 12/99

  • Cod in sea areas VIIb-c, VIIe-k, VIII, IX, X, CECAF 34.1.1¹ from 0.05 to 0.075 tonne (Strictly bycatch only)

Affecting Licence Cat B 31/99 and Cat C 41/99

  • Sprat in sea areas IIa and IV from 10 to 20 tonnes per week
