1. Check your licence

It is your responsibility to check your licence documents before going to sea as licences can be changed at any time. The most up to date licences can be accessed on the understand your fishing vessel licence page.

The variation effective from 00:01hrs Sunday 10th July 2022 is as follows:

2. Condition added to Over and Under 10m Licence Schedules

  • Added as Condition 9 in Over 10m Licence Schedules for Category A (11), Category A Islands (12), Category A Pelagic (17), Category B (31) and Category C (41),
  • Added as Condition 5.4 in Under 10m Licence Schedules for Category A (91) and as Condition 5.3 for Category A PO (91), Category A Limited (94)

It is prohibited to target herring in Sea Area 4 and 7d with nets with a mesh size of less than 32mm.

3. Removal of expired Licence Condition in Over and Under 10m Licence Schedules

  • Affecting Over 10m Licence Schedules for Category A (11), Category A Islands (12), Category A Pelagic (17), Category B (31) and Category C (41),
  • Affecting Under 10m Licence Schedules for Category A (91), Category A PO (91), Category A Limited (94)

This licence does not authorise fishing for queen scallops (aequipecten opercularis) in ICES area VIa and VIIa between 00:01 hours on 1st April 2022 and 23:59 hours on 30th June 2022.
