1. Check your licence

The variations effective from 00:01 hours, Friday 19th March 2021 are as follows:

2. Fishing Gear Restrictions- Square Mesh Panel

  • Addition of Licence Condition relating to square mesh panel construction and placement.

Affecting Over 10m Licence Conditions whereby a new Condition 7.2 has been added for Cat A (11), Cat A Island (12), Cat A Pelagic (17), Cat B (31) and Cat C (41).

Affecting 10m and Under Licence Conditions whereby a new Condition 14.1 has been added for Cat A Uncapped (91) and Cat A Capped (94) and Condition 11.1 has been added for Cat A Sector (91).

3. Other Provisions – Restricted Area

  • Marine Scotland are introducing new monitoring and enforcement procedures for fishing at Rockall to protect important habitats and juvenile fish stocks.

Affecting Over 10m Licence Schedules whereby a new Condition 20. has been added for Cat A (11), Cat A Island (12), Cat A Pelagic (17), Cat B (31) and Cat C (41)

Affecting 10m and Under Licence Schedules whereby a new Condition 15. has been added for Cat A Uncapped (91) and Cat A Capped (94) Cat A Sector (91).

4. Under 10m Non-Sector Quota increase

  • Herring in sea area IVc and VIId has increased from 15t to 30t
