1. Check your licence

It is your responsibility to check your licence documents before going to sea as licences can be changed at any time. The most up to date licences can be accessed on the understand your fishing vessel licence page.

The variations effective from 00:01 hours Monday 1st June 2020 are as follows:

2. Under 10m Quota Increase

Affecting licence Cat A (91/99)

  • Nephrops in ICES sea areas IIa and IV (quarterly limits) from 25t to 30t
  • Skates and rays in ICES sea area VIId from 1.1t to 1.2t
  • Small-eyed ray in ICES sea area VIIf/g from 1.75t to 2t
  • Sole in ICES sea area VIIe from 0.9t to 1t

Affecting licence Cat A ANIFPO (91/1), Cat A SWFPO (91/3), Cat A ASFPO (91/5), Cat A EEFPO (91/14), Cat A NSFO (91/18)

  • Small-eyed ray in ICES sea area VIIf/g from 1.75t to 2t

3. Under 10m Quota Decrease

Affecting licence Cat A (91/99):

  • Mackerel in ICES sea area IIIa & IV: EU waters of IIa and IIIbcd from 2t to 0.5t

4. Over 10m Quota Increase

Affecting licence Cat A (11/99) and Cat A Islands (12/99):

  • Small-eyed ray in ICES sea area VIIf/g from 1.75t to 2t
  • Anglerfish in ICES sea area VII from 1.5t to 2t

Affecting licence Cat B (31/99) and Cat C (41/99):

  • Small-eyed ray in ICES sea area VIIf/g from 1.75t to 2t

5. Over 10m Quota Decrease

Affecting licence Cat A (11/99):

  • Cod in ICES sea area VIIb-k, VIII, IX and X from 0.05t to 0.015t (strictly bycatch only)
  • Mackerel in ICES sea area IIIa & IV: EU waters of IIa and IIIbcd from 0.5t to 0.2t

Affecting licence Cat A Islands (12/99):

  • Cod in ICES sea area VIIb-k, VIII, IX and X from 0.05t to 0.015t (strictly bycatch only)
