1. Check your licence

It is your responsibility to check your licence documents before going to sea as licences can be changed at any time. The most up to date licences can be accessed on the understand your fishing vessel licence page.

The variations effective from 00:01 hours, Wednesday 1st July 2020 are as follows

2. Over 10m Quota Increase

Affecting licence Cat A (11/99) and Cat A Islands (12/99):

  • Angler in ICES sea area VII from 2t to 2.4t
  • Haddock in ICES sea area VIIb-k, IX and X from 2.25t to 2.75t
  • Sole in ICES sea area VIId from 1t to 1.5t

3. Over 10m Quota Increase

Affecting licence Cat A (11/99), Cat B (31/99) and Cat C (41/99):

  • Nephrops in ICES sea area IIa and IV from 20t to 25t (Quarterly)

4. Amendment to Licence Schedules

Affecting licence Cat A (11), Cat A Islands (12), Cat A Pelagic (17), Cat B (31) and Cat C (41):

  • Amendment to paragraph 5.2.1: scallop effort days set at 45 days for Q3 (0001hrs 1st July 2020 – 2359hrs 30th September 2020)

Affecting licence Cat A (91/99):

  • Haddock in ICES sea area VIIb-k, IX and X from 3t to 4t
  • Sole in ICES sea area VIIe from 1t to 1.2t
  • Sole in ICES sea area VIIf-g from 1.5t to 2t

6. Under 10m Quota Decrease

Affecting licence Cat A (91/99):

  • Cod in ICES sea area VIIb-c, VIIe-k, VIII, IX and X from 0.025t to 0.02t (Strictly bycatch only)
