The variations effective from 00:01 hours, Sunday 01 July 2018 are as follows:

2. Under 10 Metre Quota Increases

2.1 Affecting licences Cat A (91/99) and Cat A Monitored (45/99)

  • Whiting in sea areas II (EC Zone), IV (EC Zone) from 4t to 5t
  • Mackerel in sea areas IIIa & IV: EU Waters of IIa, IIIbcd from 1.5t to 4t

3. Over 10 Meter Quota Increase

3.1 Affecting licence Cat A Non-Sector (11/99)

  • Sole in sea area VIIe form 0.15t to 0.2t
  • Whiting in sea area IIa (EC Zone), IV from 2t to 2.5t

3.2 Affecting licence Cat A Islands (12/99)

  • Sole in sea area VIIe form 0.15t to 0.2t

4. Over 10 Meter By-catch Decrease

4.1 Affecting licence Cat A (11), Cat A Islands (12) Cat B (31) and Cat C (41)

  • Whiting by catch in sea area West of Scotland - (VI; Union and international waters of Vb; international waters of XII and XIV) from 3% to 1.5% as stated at paragraph 9.5 of the schedule.

4.2 Affecting licence Cat A pelagic (17)

  • Whiting by catch in sea area West of Scotland - (VI; Union and international waters of Vb; international waters of XII and XIV) from 3% to 1.5% as stated at paragraph 9.4 of the schedule.

5. 15 Meter and Over Decrease in Scallop Effort Days

5.1 Affecting licences Cat A (11) Cat A Pelagic (17) Cat B (31) and Cat C (41)

  • Scallop effort days updated for the period 0001hrs 1 July 2018 – 2359hrs 30 September 2018 from 70 to 30 days as stated at paragraph 5.2.1 of the schedule
