Defence Safety Authority (DSA)
Defence Environmental Protection Regulator (DEPR)
These regulations include the minimum arrangements which should be in place to manage environmental protection, they cover specific environmental protection issues relevant to Defence which directly link to UK environmental protection legislation
DSA03-DEPR guidance document provides additional explanation and good practice to assist with the application of the regulations and should be read alongside DSA02-DEPR: Defence environmental protection regulations.
Defence Fire Safety Regulator (DFSR)
Defence has no immunity from fire safety legislation and associated statutory requirements.
In addition to statutory requirements, the Defence Fire Safety Regulator (DFSR) has a delegated duty to maintain and promulgate Defence Fire Safety Regulations.
Defence Land Safety Regulator (DLSR)
This publication encompasses regulations covering the five DLSR functional areas: Adventurous Training Safety, Fuel and Gas Safety, Land System Safety, Movement and Transport Safety and Regulation and Certification.
They apply to all defence activities carried out in any location (UK or overseas) and supersede previously published DSA02 and DSA03 documents.
Defence Maritime Regulator (DMR)
These documents should be read by people and organisations conducting maritime activity on behalf of the MOD.
The DMR Compliance Matrix provides the Defence Maritime Domain with a downloadable file to aid the recording of compliance statements with the latest version of the DMR Regulations.
Defence Medical Services Regulator (DMSR)
These regulations are intended for all those engaged in UK MOD healthcare activities worldwide, including support, facilitation, assurance, management and leadership of healthcare. This includes all members of the Armed Forces, civilian employees and others, including contractors.
A Regulatory notification (RN) will notify changes in DMSR-owned structures, procedures, regulations, or provide regulatory advice. RNs may promulgate planned DMSR activity and are administrative in nature. They do not constitute Regulatory requirements.
Defence Nuclear Safety Regulator (DNSR)
The goal of the regulations is to ensure that the management of safety and environmental protection of defence nuclear activities can achieve outcomes at least as good as those governed by the UK and international legislation. They should be read by people and organisations conducting Defence Nuclear activities on behalf of the MOD.
Defence Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (OME) Safety Regulator (DOSR)
These regulations apply to all personnel at all levels in the Ministry of Defence, who have duties and responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection associated with activities involving the following: Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (OME) acquisition, OME in-service and operational safety management, defence ranges, major accident control, military lasers, and directed energy weapons.
