7. Contact the Disclosure and Barring Service

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) have merged into the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). CRB checks are now called DBS checks.

Tracking an application

Employers and applicants can use the DBS tracking service to check the progress of an application.

Employers can track multiple applications.

Contact the disclosure customer services department with any questions. On emails, include the full name, address, telephone number and any DBS reference numbers.
