Ian Johnston is the Deputy Chief Executive & Executive Director of Operations at the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Ian became the Director for Operations at DBS in June 2014.
Ian came to the DBS following a four-year role as Operations Director at MHA Care Home Group.

- reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), accountable for all operational service delivery and performance in DBS
- managing the operational and financial performance of key service delivery partners, and managing relationships and compliance of the Registered Body network
- establishing and delivering the operating plan for the disclosure function in line with the DBS strategic and business plan
- establishing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders
