Big Society Awards
Information about organisations who have been awarded a Big Society Award.
The Big Society Awards were created to recognise and celebrate groups and organisations doing exceptional work in their community, going above and beyond to make things better for others.
The awards were set up by the Prime Minister in November 2010 to acknowledge groups and organisations across the UK that demonstrate the Big Society in their work or activities. The award focuses on 3 areas:
- outstanding contribution to community
- improving lives and society through innovation, collaboration and new partnerships
- engaging in social action
