Esta información trata sobre las pruebas de cribado que se le ofrecerán durante el embarazo y después del nacimiento de su bebé. Explica los diferentes tipos de pruebas y qué es lo que se pretende con ellas.

Esperamos que estos consejos le ayuden a prepararse para las conversaciones con su matrona o médico, de modo que pueda hacer las preguntas que le parezcan importantes.

La decisión de someterse o no a cualquiera de las pruebas descritas es suya.

En esta publicación, utilizamos los términos «mujer» y «mujeres» para referirnos a cualquier persona capaz de quedarse embarazada, incluidos los hombres trans. A los hombres trans que están embarazados se les deben ofrecer las mismas pruebas de detección prenatales y neonatales que a otras personas embarazadas.
