Greece travel advice - industrial action affecting travel

Strikes by public and private sector trade unions in Greece will affect transport in the run-up to the planned general strike on 15 December.

Industrial action is affecting services at all ports in Greece until 06:00 on 30 November.

Air traffic controllers in Greece have announced their intention to participate in a 24 hour strike on 30 November. Discussions over the legality of the strike are ongoing. Passengers are advised to check with their airline for further information.

IKA (social security foundation) doctors have announced their participation in a 48 strike from 30 November to 1 December. Hospitals and emergency services are not affected.

On 1 December trolley buses in Athens will be suspended between 11:00 and 15:00

Public and private sector trade unions have announced a 24 hour general strike for 15 December. Disruptions to public transport are expected.
