The Deputy Prime Minister met President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico today (4 March 2015) during the President's state visit to the UK.
Minister Swire gave a concluding address following Mexican President Peña Nieto's Canning Lecture.
The Foreign Secretary and Mexican Foreign Minister José Antonio Meade Kuribreña met during the State Visit of President Peña Nieto.
Trade between the UK and Mexico is enjoying double-digit growth, with bilateral trade in 2013 at £3.3 billion, up by 15% compared to 2012.
We develop and maintain the longstanding relations between the United Kingdom and Mexico. We support a range of British interests in Mexico and we work together through a number of bilateral programmes. This involves a wide range of political, commercial and prosperity areas of interest to the UK and Mexico.
