The period of temporary exemption from transportation of heavy and residual fuel oil by rail has expired, all transport of heavy and residual fuel oil by rail must adhere to the ADR 2017 rules.

Details

This multilateral agreement (MA), signed by the UK, gives a temporary exemption to certain parts of the Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID).

This exemption relates to the transportation of heavy and residual fuel oil by rail.

It is valid until 31 December 2017 unless otherwise revoked.

Anyone carrying dangerous goods in line with an MA must have a copy of it on their vehicle.
