This note gives guidance on different types of biofuels and whether they can be classed as dangerous goods for transportation.

The 3 biofuels discussed are:

  • biodiesel
  • bioethanol
  • vegetable oil

This guidance was issued on 7 January 2013 and is due for revision in January 2015.
