This multilateral agreement (MA) remains valid until 31 December 2017 unless otherwise revoked.
It is a temporary derogation from the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). The derogation concerns the transportation of heavy and residual fuel oil.
Background to multilateral agreements
The ADR and Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID) allow contracting parties to agree temporary derogations between themselves.
The UK has signed this MA. If carrying dangerous goods in accordance with an MA, a copy of it must be carried on the vehicle.
