Calling for bids in Iraq for project under FCO Programme Fund

The British Embassy in Baghdad is pleased to announce a call for bids for the financial year 2017-18 FCO Programme Funding.

Details

The purpose of this fund is to support British Embassy areas of interest mentioned below:

Specific area of focus

  • Improve capacity of government and civil society organisations to respond and engage with International Treaties and Human Rights Mechanisms and improve domestic human rights through better implementation of international human rights obligations – up to £30,000.

We are looking for creative and original project ideas which will help achieve these above goals.

If the submitted concept form meets the requirements set out above, you will be invited to submit a full Project Proposal. Successful bids will be for innovative activities that will have the greatest impact and deliver real change. Proposals should include action-oriented activities which will bring about concrete outcomes and results.

Budget

Project budgets should be for a single year for activities undertaken over the period April 2017 to March 2018, up to a maximum cost mentioned next to each area of focus, above. We are unable to fund multiple-year.

Projects

Projects not eligible for funding:

Projects focused on service delivery or projects that support military, construction activities, capital costs, academic courses, charitable activities, humanitarian aid or mainly staff salaries are ineligible.

How to apply

Interested implementers are invited to submit their Project Concept Form, with approximate expected value of fund, to HRDP.Bids@fco.gov.uk by 29 May 2017. The Project Concept form can be downloaded from above.
