Find out about the 2 new fields added to help HMRC identify pleasure craft.
When you arrive in the UK on a pleasure craft that has departed directly from a country outside the EU, the National Yachtline must be contacted. They will ask for form C1331 to be completed.
Form C1331 is used to declare a pleasure craft on non-EU voyages when you leave or arrive in the UK. It has been amended to add 2 new fields, on page 1 (leaving the UK) and page 3 (arriving in the UK).
Enter in the new fields the:
- International Maritime Organisation number (IMO)
- Maritime Mobile Service Identity number (MMSI)
The 2 new fields will help HMRC identify pleasure craft. They are not mandatory as they will not apply to all vessels, however HMRC expect as many boxes to be completed as possible.
The updated form is available from 1 May 2018.
