Information for schools carrying out optional teacher assessment at the end of key stage 1 (KS1).
Teacher assessment at the end of KS1 is optional, including any related moderation and reporting activities.
The KS1 teacher assessment guidance, frameworks and exemplification materials available in this collection remain available for schools that wish to use them to help:
- inform classroom practice
- measure pupil achievement
- identify where pupils need additional support as they transition into key stage 2
- prepare statutory annual reports for parents about each pupil’s general progress in year 2
