HMRC will send your User ID to you by post, which can take around 2 working days (or longer if you live abroad).
The letter will tell you how to get a new Self Assessment password.

If you don’t want to wait for replacements you can complete Self Assessment as an individual using GOV.UK Verify. It takes about 10 minutes, all online. This is a beta service.
