Speaking to mark World Refugee Day 2015, International Development Secretary Justine Greening said:

Millions of men, women and children across the world have been forced to leave their homes as refugees.

Whether fleeing conflict, persecution or extreme poverty - they’re all desperately seeking a safer and more secure life.

Britain is right to be helping to support not only these refugees but also the local communities they are now often living in, especially in places like Lebanon and Jordan.
