Our mission
The British Embassy in Myanmar (Burma) helps to pursue UK Government priorities in Myanmar, including working with partners to de-escalate the current political crisis, building the foundations for peace and democracy, responding to urgent humanitarian needs and supporting accountability and justice in Myanmar. We also provide consular support to British nationals.
Building prosperity with South East Asia
As part of South East Asia, Myanmar is part of a diverse and distinct region that represents a number of opportunities for the UK. As such, there is an opportunity to advance UK interests by taking a regional approach in addition to bilateral activities.
