Building Safety Remediation data releases
The statistics present monthly information about the remediation progress of residential buildings over 11 metres with unsafe cladding in England.
Up to September 2023, the statistics focused on the remediation progress of high-rise (18 metres and over in height) residential buildings (including student accommodation and hotels) and publicly owned buildings with ACM cladding systems unlikely to meet building regulations in the ACM programme.
Since October 2023, the statistics cover the remediation progress of all residential buildings over 11 metres with unsafe cladding that the department is monitoring. This includes data on remediation progress of buildings in the ACM programme, Building Safety Fund (BSF), Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS), developer remediation contract, and social housing sector as reported by registered providers of social housing. The release also includes statistics on the progress of the Waking Watch Relief Fund, Waking Watch Replacement Fund and building safety enforcement action undertaken by local authorities in England.
The data releases are accompanied by a series of management information tables.
The Building Safety Remediation data release has been designated as management information and does not constitute an Official Statistics or National Statistics release. However, the Building Safety Programme data release does comply with the Code of Practice for Statistics on a voluntary basis and the principles of transparency of high-quality analytical outputs to inform decision making and the public underpin this data release.
