Guidance

Details

You can apply for this grant all year round.

Woodland creation provides funding to supply, plant, weed and protect young trees. See the capital item supply and plant trees (TE4) for requirements, supporting capital items and payment rates.

Tree planting under TE4 and other associated capital items are one-off payments. The agreement ends once the final claim has been paid. Capital items must remain installed and in good condition for 5 years from the date of final payment. Use the manual to understand:

  • eligibility requirements
  • how to apply
  • the payments you could receive
  • the rules and conditions for the scheme.

Use the Woodland Creation grant leaflet for an overview of the grant.

Apply using the capital grant application form.

If your agreement started before 8 July 2020 it was under EU regulations. You can read guidance for agreements under EU regulations at Information for agreement holders.
