You can now apply online. The online form will ask questions that are relevant to you based on the information you enter. You can edit and download the application before it is submitted.

Use Form FLR(M) to apply to extend your existing stay in the UK (also known as ‘leave to remain’) and to get a biometric residence permit.

The form is for:

  • the partner or dependent child of a person who is in the UK and is settled here
  • the partner or dependent child of a person who has permission to stay in the UK as a refugee or under humanitarian protection
  • the dependent child of a person who has, or is applying for leave to enter or remain as the partner of a person present and settled in the UK
