MHCLG is seeking views on its statutory homelessness statistics through an online consultation survey. The survey is open to anyone who uses the statistics. The survey should take you less than 10 minutes to complete and closes at midnight on 22 November 2019. Previously the deadline was 31 October but it has been extended.
MHCLG is using the survey to collect views from users of its statutory homelessness statistics to help ensure that it provides useful data and information to those interested in homelessness. If you use these statistics in any way you are encouraged to provide feedback on their format and content via the survey.
MHCLG is also planning workshop style user events for its statutory homelessness statistics for spring 2020. The survey asks for suggestions for topics to be discussed at the user events.
This collection contains statistics on statutory homelessness and rough sleeping. As of the statistical release for Quarter 2 2018 (April - June) statutory homelessness statistics include prevention and relief duties carried out under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
The last statutory homelessness statistics based on the P1E return were published for Quarter 1 2018 (January - March). Following implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 on 3 April 2018 MHCLG changed the way of collecting data from local authorities on statutory homelessness.
