Visits to the Embassy

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) and related restrictions, you must have an appointment to visits to the Embassy. If you need urgent consular assistance, call 0046 (0) 8-671 3000.

If you are attending an appointment, contact us in advance if you:

  • have been in contact with someone with coronavirus (COVID-19)
  • are feeling unwell with a cough, difficulty breathing or fever

If any of the above applies to you, you must contact us to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Get an emergency travel document

You can apply for an emergency travel document if you’re abroad and your passport has been lost or stolen, damaged or expired, and you can’t get a new or replacement passport in time to travel.

If you’re due to travel in the next 24 hours, contact us as soon as possible.

Apply online for an emergency travel document

If the person needing the emergency travel document is under 16, a parent or guardian should apply on their behalf.

If you are travelling in more than 3 weeks, check if you can get a new or replacement passport in time to travel.
