Grant funding for projects in England which create broadband infrastructure in rural areas - what is available and how to apply.
The Rural Broadband Infrastructure grant scheme is now closed to new applications.
Local Authorities leading on the roll out of Superfast Broadband can apply for Rural Broadband Infrastructure grants.
The grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which is part of the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF).
Contact RPA at BroadbandApps@rpa.gsi.gov.uk to get the handbook, an application form, application appendix and guidance on how to apply.
The handbook will tell you more about the grants, including:
- what the grants are for
- who can apply
- how much money you can apply for
- procurement routes
- preparing an application
Grants are not awarded automatically to an applicant. The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) will assess all applications to see which ones best meet the criteria.
