Charlotte Inman

Biography

Charlotte Inman has been with the RPA since 2022 working in field team delivery, regulation and enforcement. Prior to this Charlotte was a science advisor leading compliance and enforcement in the Animals in Science Regulation Unit in the Home Office. Before joining the Civil Service, Charlotte worked as an academic researcher in immunology and bioinformatics.

Data and Innovation Director

The Data and Innovation Director has responsibility for some of the agency’s most important capabilities, including:

  • the Data Analysis Team (DAT)
  • geospatial services
  • data protection
  • AI and robotics
  • knowledge and information management

They work closely with colleagues across RPA, Defra’s Farming and Countryside Programme, and other Defra delivery bodies to make sure these functions support high‑quality delivery and informed decision‑making.
