Ali Johnson

Biography

Ali Johnson has worked within the Civil Service since September 1984 working in various departments, Ministry Of Defence, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food - now the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) - and including British Cattle Movement Service and the Rural Payments Agency. Her extensive experience includes Leadership roles in all aspects of Operational Delivery as well as a number of years working in Project and Programme Management. In 2020 Ali took on the role of RPA Engagement & Operational Readiness Director.

Engagement and Operational Readiness Director

Responsible for RPAs input into and work with Defra to design, develop, implement and then manage the delivery of the new Environmental Land Management schemes including the National Pilots, Sustainable Farming Incentive and Local Nature Recovery. In parallel, responsible for ensuring our Agency is ready to deliver these and other schemes through Training and Operational Change & Readiness development and implementation. In support of overall delivery, Ali is also responsible for the Agency Business Excellence Framework and the RPA People Plan and People Engagement Strategy and implementation.
