Notice to exporters 2020/02: open general licences updated

1. Introduction

Further to notice 2019/17, the EU dual-use export control list in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 428/2009 has now been amended. The new regulation was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 30 December. As a result of these changes the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) has updated and amended 14 open general export licences (OGELs) and 1 open general transhipment licence.

Following the recent incursion by the Turkish military in north east Syria, we have reviewed open general export licences where Turkey was a permitted destination. Some changes were communicated through notice to exporters 2019/16. In addition to those changes, the open general export licence (Turkey) is being revoked.
