  1. This open general export licence (OGEL) has been updated to reflect changes to the list of controlled items in the Export Control Order 2008 and the assimilated Dual-Use Regulation (EC) No 428/2009. A condition has been added requiring the licence reference is entered onto the UK’s customs declarations system.

  2. Certain chemicals removed from licence following regime changes and associated legislation that came into force on 2 April 2024.

  3. This OGEL has been revised to address updates to the lists of controlled items in the dual-use regulations. The existing version has become the latest revoked version.

  19. Licence republished to incorporate changes to the Consolidated list of strategic military and dual-use items that require export authorisation.

  20. Licence amended and republished following changes in the EU dual-use list of controlled goods.

  21. Updated text in 'Conditions and requirements' to reflect new reporting process in connection with the transparency initiative.

This open general export licence (OGEL) allows, subject to certain conditions, the export of dual-use items returned to the original country of import for repair or replacement under warranty.
