This page contains residual fuel consumption data.
Following a review of this publication it has been decided to stop production of the Sub-national residual fuel consumption factsheet summary report from 2015 onwards. The statistical data set will continue to publish as normal on an annual basis.
This page contains the sub-national consumption of other fuels consumption data which BEIS produces (it should be noted that this is often also referred to as ‘residual fuels’ consumption).
It is strongly advised that users become familiar with the accompanying Methodology and guidance note produced by BEIS, before using any of the following statistics. This document contains extensive details of the data sources and methodology used in the creation of the statistics on this page. The guide also contains information regarding tools and other related datasets produced by BEIS.
Contained on this page are links to BEIS’s local authority level residual fuel consumption statistics dataset and a methodology document from our contractors Ricardo-EE detailing the development and changes in the modelling used in creating this dataset.
