Adult social care provider statistics, England: quarterly update

Official statistics on topics including occupancy and flu vaccination in adult social care settings and number of people receiving adult social care services.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) publishes quarterly official statistics on adult social care in England. This page brings together all the quarterly reports, from January 2026.

The data in these reports includes:

  • occupancy levels in care homes
  • number of people receiving CQC-regulated adult social care services
  • visiting in care homes
  • COVID-19 related staff absence rates in care homes and domiciliary care settings
  • seasonal flu vaccinations in social care settings
  • estimates of digital social care record (DSCR) uptake
