Adult social care client level data, England: quarterly update

Official statistics in development on insights from client level data from local authorities, including information on assessments and long-term support.

Correction to client level data statistics

We have identified an isolated central processing error which introduced errors to long-term support and assessments data submissions by Sandwell. This has affected the publications released in January and April 2026. We are currently investigating the extent of the issues and the possible impact on each statistic, including regional and national totals. Revised data tables and commentary for January and April 2026 will be published as soon as possible.

We have also received revised data submissions from Hackney and Warrington due to errors in their original submissions, affecting long-term support and assessments data in the publication released in April 2026. Given the work we are undertaking to correct for the central processing error, the Hackney and Warrington data will also be corrected as part of the April 2026 release update - this is an exception to the normal revisions policy.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) publishes quarterly statistics on adult social care client level data in England. This page brings together all the quarterly reports, from January 2026.
