British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina
We maintain and develop relations between the UK and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The British Embassy in Sarajevo provides services to British nationals living in and visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our work covers a range of issues including the economy and international security. We are developing and maintaining relations between the two countries on a wide range of political, commercial, security and economic issues of interest to both countries.
We are working in Bosnia and Herzegovina to help reform areas including the rule of law, justice, anti-corruption and defence, to meet conditions for EU and NATO membership.
Services for British nationals

Get an emergency travel document
If you’re due to travel in the next 24 hours, contact us as soon as possible.
- are over 16 years old and
- are a British citizen and
- have previously owned a British passport
- over 16 years old but have not owned a British passport before or
- not a British citizen or
- applying for a child under 16 years old
Once you have contacted us, you will be advised to make an appointment to apply for an emergency travel document at the British Embassy Sarajevo.
