This directory lists organisations that provide support to veterans of the UK armed forces and their families.

This should not be taken as an exhaustive list of all services on offer to veterans and their families in the UK.

Helps With Pensions
  • MoD Veterans Services provides information, guidance and welfare support on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

  • Age Cymru Dyfed works to enhance lives of people aged 50 and over in West Wales, including many veterans, by working with them, their families, friends and carers.

  • Blesma is a national charity that supports armed forces veterans who have experienced limb or sight loss.

  • The East Durham Veterans Trust provides support around mental health, finance, housing and social inclusion to veterans and their families in the North East.

  • Forces MoneyPlan is a free and confidential service that offers general financial advice to armed forces personnel and veterans.

  • The Forces Pension Society is a subscription-based membership organisation that provides its members with guidance on armed forces pensions and ensures the fair treatment of all members on pensions matters.

  • RMA - The Royal Marines Charity provides support for serving and former Royal Marines personnel and their families.

  • The Royal British Legion is the UK's largest armed forces charity and provides a range of support to veterans and their families.

  • Legion Scotland is a membership organisation providing pension and advocacy advice to veterans, as well as a befriending service.

  • Stand To Derbyshire Veteran Community Support is a service dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in Derbyshire with issues around addiction, welfare, housing and more.

  • The Armed Forces Outreach Service is a local authority and housing provider partnership service covering Newcastle, Gateshead and County Durham in the North East of England.

  • The Bolton Guild of Help provides financial, material and pastoral support to the Bolton military family.

  • The Bridge for Heroes provides direct help and support to veterans and their families in West Norfolk and beyond.

  • Veterans Contact Point is a charity that supports local veterans and their families in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull areas.

  • Based in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, Veterans Outreach Support offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support to UK armed forces and Merchant Navy veterans, as well as their spouses and partners.

  • Walking With The Wounded supports those who served and their families through mental health, employment and care coordination programmes.

  • Woody's Lodge provides support and welcoming meeting spaces for veterans across Wales.
