Help for consumers
Information on your rights, what to do if things go wrong, and how to tell the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) about consumer problems.
There are lots of ways to get help if you have a problem with something you have purchased.
Organisations that can help you
For help with your issue, contact the relevant consumer advice organisation in your area.
Report a problem to us
You can report a consumer problem to the CMA, if you think it is affecting more than just one person: Tell the CMA about a problem.
After you’ve submitted your complaint to us, you’ll receive an automated response via email. We’ll review the information you’ve provided.
However we cannot step in or advise on individual complaints.
Getting money back if the CMA orders refunds or compensation
You might be owed money back if the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has ordered a business to refund or compensate its customers. Find out if you’re eligible and what you need to do.
