Information about the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) data collection route for 2013 to 2014

Each funding year, colleges, training organisations, local authorities and employers (further education providers) have to submit Individualised Learner Record (ILR) data on a monthly basis, over 14 months. Each ILR data return period is numbered from R01, the first return in September, to R14 which falls in October, the following year.

FE providers due to make data returns must submit data to the ILR national database by 6:00pm on the return dates throughout the funding year. Any data sent after a return date will not be processed for the purposes of that particular return. See the ILR data returns calendars 2013 to 2014 for all of the 2013 to 2014 data submission dates.

We are working to deliver new data collection systems and currently have two online portals for ILR data submission: OLDC and the Hub. Once the systems are complete we will close OLDC and all data returns will be made through the Hub.

The following reports are available alongside the submitted ILR:

  • processing status report
  • rule violations summary report
  • rule violations detail report
  • a summary funding report
  • EFA funding claim report
  • occupancy report
