| Economic Estimates for DCMS Sectors | This statistical series includes estimates of Gross Value Added (GVA), Employment, Earnings, Business Demographics and Trade for DCMS sectors. Estimates for the digital sector are included in releases published up to March 2024. |
| Community and Engagement Survey | The Community and Engagement Survey (CES) is a nationally representative survey of adults aged 16 and over in England, designed to explore how people across England engage with their community and with culture, media and live sport and allows respondents’ views to be heard on a range of issues affecting their local area. This combined survey launched in October 2025 and replaced both the Community Life Survey and the Participation Survey. |
| Total income of DCMS-funded cultural organisations | This annual statistical release presents the total income generated by the 15 DCMS-Sponsored museums and galleries, and by other cultural organisations which receive Grant-in-Aid from DCMS. |
| Sponsored museums and galleries monthly visits | This quarterly statistical release provides the number of monthly and quarterly visits to the 15 DCMS-Sponsored museums and galleries. |
| Sponsored museums and galleries annual performance indicators | This statistical release provides aggregate statistics on the annual performance indicators for the 15 DCMS-sponsored museums and galleries. |
| Reported Treasure finds | This annual statistical release presents data on the number of reported treasure finds within England, Wales and Northern Ireland. |
| DCMS Sectors Skills Estimates | This series provides estimates of skills gaps and skills shortages. |
| Ad-hoc publications | This page brings together additional analysis not included in our standard publications. |
In November 2024, we published a Youth Participation pilot survey as official statistics in development. This surveyed young people in England aged 10 to 19 looking at levels of participation in after-school activities.
We have also published official statistics on the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19):

In February 2023, responsibility for the digital and telecoms policy sectors moved from DCMS to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) as part of Machinery of Government Statistics. Statistics for these sectors are now published by DSIT.

Standards for official statistics
DCMS’s official statistics follow the standards defined in the UK Statistics Authority Code of Practice for Official Statistics. The documents below set out how DCMS follows the code of practice:
We will additionally publish the following: Confidentiality and Data Management Approach, Public Involvement and Engagement Strategy, and Quality Management Approach. We will also publish a Statement of Compliance to the Standards for Public Use of Statistics, Data, and Wider Analysis.
We also publish annual statistical work plans.
We do not charge for supplementary statistical services.
