This report provides figures on the economic value of sport to the UK economy and the number of people employed. Under an EU agreed definition of sport, estimates have been calculated in terms of consumer expenditure, the corresponding value added and employment figures for the UK. In future it will be possible to make comparisons between the UK and other EU countries.
