The High Speed Two (HS2) Phase 2a environmental statement was produced to accompany the High Speed Rail (West Midlands to Crewe) Bill and outlines:
the likely significant environmental effects along the route
measures we will take to manage, reduce and monitor these effects
Our consultation, which closed on 30 September 2017, gave you the chance to comment on the environmental statement. The results (once available) can be viewed on the environmental statement consultation page.
Guide to the environmental statement
The guide does not form part of the environmental statement, but provides an explanation of what it is and what it contains.
This volume contains five reports and associated map books. The reports described the likely significant environmental effects of Phase 2a in geographical areas (known as ‘community areas’) along the route.
Volume 5: Environmental reports and maps by community area
These technical reports and map books are specific to each community area (CA). They contain assessments of the environmental effects of building and operating Phase 2a of HS2. These support the other volumes of the Environmental Statement.
