From Monday 16 March 2020, due to coronavirus (COVID-19), the British Consulate General in Jeddah is open, but access to visitors or the Consular Section is by appointment only.

Get an emergency travel document

You can apply for an emergency travel document if you’re abroad and your passport has been lost or stolen, damaged or expired, and you can’t get a new or replacement passport in time to travel.

If the person needing the emergency travel document is under 16, a parent or guardian should apply on their behalf.

If you are travelling in more than 3 weeks, check if you can get a new or replacement passport in time to travel.

Notarial and documentary services

Notarial services in Saudi Arabia are provided by the British Embassy in Riyadh only, including:

  • administer an oath, affirmation or affidavit
  • make a certified copy of a document
  • prepare a document in English or the local language
