Access to resources
MyAthens - your starting point for searching and accessing resources
MyAthens is a platform that provides access to UKHSA’s journals, databases and eBooks, helping you find research and evidence independently.
UKHSA staff can log in with single sign-on. Once logged in, you can:

Expert literature searching and information retrieval
A responsive mediated literature searching service is available. This includes support to conduct systematic reviews.
Request journal articles
You can request the full text of an article if it is not available through OpenAthens. Visit our access journals and articles page for more information.
Knowledge and Evidence Specialists
Contact your Knowledge and Evidence Specialist for identifying and retrieving the latest and most relevant evidence, quality assessment of evidence, and training in information, digital and health literacy.

Current awareness alerts
We provide current awareness alerts to help you stay up to date with research in a range of fields.
Knowledge management and mobilisation services
We lead on a range of knowledge management services, including peer assists, after-action reviews and support for communities of practice.
Rapid reviews for UKHSA staff
The Science Evidence Review team produce rapid reviews and provide methodological support to conduct your own evidence review.
Copyright and publishing
We provide guidance on copyright licensing. UKHSA staff can find research support and information about open access publishing, on the intranet.
UKHSA site libraries
Staffed library spaces are located at the Chilton, Colindale and Porton UKHSA sites. All libraries offer study spaces and comfortable seating to enable learning, collaboration and private study. Each library offers specialist book and journal collections.
