The UK-India relationship is founded on a broad range of mutual interests. Passports and emergency travel documents
- Passport extensions & emergency travel documents for your child
Details of how to get a passport extension or emergency travel document for a child can be found here. If you want to make an appointment, contact our Consular section using the details at the foot of this page.
- Extending a current British passport
If your existing British passport has recently expired or is close to expiring you can apply for it to be extended for 12 months. Please check the guidance to see whether you are eligible to apply for a passport extension. This service is available at our New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Goa offices. You will not be charged for this service.

Notarial and Documentary services
The consular teams in India do not provide any notarial services. We provide limited documentary services by appointment. We accept payments by Visa and Mastercard credit, debit cards, cash and demand drafts. Please see the following guide for further information.
