The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) publish the Solway Tweed River Basin Management Plan on the Water Environment Hub.
The Solway Tweed River Basin District (RBD) falls in both England and Scotland. SEPA leads on the administrative side of the review and update of the river basin management plan for the RBD. The documents on this page describe how the water environment is managed in England and form part of the Solway Tweed River Basin Management Plan.

Changes to Solway Tweed River Basin District in England programmes of measures: mechanisms summary. Cross compliance and the Basic Payment Scheme ended after the 2023 scheme year. However, most of the standards in cross compliance continue to apply to your farm activities as they remain in other English laws. Delinked payments will replace Basic Payment Scheme in 2024.
