Details

The Government is committed to ensuring that every home and small business in the country is offered a smart meter by the end of 2020, delivered as cost effectively as possible. The roll-out of smart meters is an important national modernisation programme that will bring benefits to businesses and the nation as a whole.

This cost-benefit analysis reflects the latest available evidence and updates the analysis in the Impact Assessment published in January 2014.
