Report on the Joint Fisheries Statement

Details

As required by Section 11 of the Fisheries Act 2020, this report has been jointly prepared by the UK fisheries policy authorities (the Secretary of State, Scottish Ministers, Welsh Ministers and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) in Northern Ireland).

It sets out the extent to which policies in the Joint Fisheries Statement (JFS), and in fisheries management plans (FMPs), have been implemented during the first 3-year reporting period since the JFS was published in November 2022.

It also reports on the extent this work has achieved, or contributed to, the eight fisheries objectives set out in Section 1 of the Fisheries Act.
