This MOT inspection manual is issued by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency under the regulations that provide the legislative basis for MOT testing.

The inspection manual will change on 20 May 2018 when the EU roadworthiness directive (2014/45) is introduced.

The draft version of the inspection manual from 20 May 2018 could change before the directive is introduced.
